Christmas Assistant

Prior experience working in a fast paced office setting preferred. Must possess good oral and written communication skills. Must possess strong character and values. Must demonstrate compassion for those in need. Must be able to interact with the public and positively/effectively represent the organization and its mission within the community. Must be able to work both independently and as a team member. Ability to work a flexible schedule including some nights and weekends also required. Must be able to pass Salvation Army background checks as applicable to the position.Excellent problem solving and prioritizing skills
Compile and provide information for kettle sites coordination and staffing.
If needed support the kettle sites by making route runs and inspections
Prepare and present kettle sites and bell ringer reports
Compile and maintain databases containing information about kettle sites, bell ringers, the Angel Tree program, donations and Christmas fund raisers.
Prepare and send Thank You Letters.
Answer telephones and respond to inquiries from clients and participants.
Perform other related and special duties as needed and assigned by supervisor
This Position is required to do light to moderate physical work. In order to successfully perform the essential functions of this position, the individual is regularly required to remain stationary for some periods of time, use hands and fingers, communicate, move, occasionally required to position self to stoop, kneel or crouch, frequently required to reach with and use arms and hands as required in using standard office equipment and a PC. Specific vision abilities for this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to focus. The work environment for this position will be in the office but also driving to various locations. Moderate to loud noise levels at times due to amount of staff around. Individual may lift up to twenty-five pounds and occasionally up to forty pounds.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
